head to auto zone, NAPA or someplace like that. You'll be helped by a special tool you can borrow or I'm sure buy at $10 or so. It'll be a big help as the wiper arm on a s type blazer was the same(needing this tool) from 1983 to 1994. later jp ps I'm sure there are other ways to get it off but.....[8D]

I have an '88 - I'll assume yours works the same way.
At the base of the wiper arm just short of where it forms the circular base that mounts to the wiper motor pivot (or, roughly where the arm hinges) you should notice 2 small holes; one on the top surface and one on the bottom surface of the arm, directly opposite each other.
If you pull the arm away from the windshield, use a thin finishing nail or something similar and prop the wiper away from the glass by inserting the nail thru the two holes, and release the wiper so that the nail keeps the wiper from contacting the glass. This proces releases tension on the base, and should allow you to simply pull the wiper assembly off of the pivot.
If your wiper arm doesn't have the two small holes, then I am of no help...

Look at the base of the wiper arm, it has a plastic cover. pull the cover off and under it is a nut. Take the nut off and the wiper arm comes off.
Now that you found the nut, if you strip out your wiper arm, as in it wont move when teh other arm does. Pull hte arm off, clean out all the metal shavings, put the arm back on and tighten the nut down again. The inside is lead type metal, soft metal and designed to give if your blade gets frozen to the window or stops moving for some reason. Simple fix if your in the middle of nowhere in the middle of a horrible storm. Just need a pair of pliers or adjustable wrench.
