93 CPI Dead In The Water
My truck keeps killing fuel pumps. On the way to work today, decided to take my Blazer because my pickup doesn't have heat, and about 2-3 miles from on a 17 mile drive, it died with no warning. Second drive on this new pump
It's away from me now, so I can't answer specifics about the exact issue this time. I can give insight on the last few pumps.
Why might my truck be killing multiple fuel pumps?

I recently learned that the origin of an intermittent crank but no run condition on my 99 was due to the fuel pump relay having burned contacts.
Off the top of my head, I don't know why once engaged how a relay may break contact causing the pump to stop after having been running, but I thought I might suggest this because it is so easy to swap the relay for the fuel pump for an identical one used for another function to see if it could be the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion, but sadly that wasn't it. I have another 93, non vortec pickup, and I swapped some of the easily swappable electrical parts, as well as tested the pickup's pump with the blazer's electrical systems, and it all works as well as if it was from its own truck, and the pump I bought for the blazer has once again fully and totally died on me. On to the sixth pump I guess
Replacing my fuel pump is something I've been dreading having to do. That is why I pay attention to posts on the topic.
What brand of pump have you used? I've heard that anything but GM or AC Delco are to be avoided.
Did you clean out the tank before installing the new pumps? Is that even possible to do?
I wish I had more to offer.
