93 s-10 Blazer with ABS code 41
I have a 1993 chevy Blazer S10. Over the last year I have replaced the brake pads, and calipers and the drums in the back. I have bled the brakes right rear, left rear, right front to left front and have good foot pedal pressure. No spongy brake feel at all. The front left brake is sticking. The Anti-lock brake light comes on the dash when the speed gets over 5 mph. Below 5 mph the light does not come on. I have the Anti-lock brake light on and tested the code by jumping the A and H pins; the code given is 41 which my manual says is - control valves. So I'm thinking the wheel speed sensor is just fine and it is either the combinatioin valve (my hopes) or the BPMV - Brake Pressure Modulator valve (my fear $). I would appreciated any feedback or if additional information is needed i can answer questions on the vehicle. It has 217K on the rig. The 4 wheel drive system is non-functional. Thanks Barry

Forum readers: I went ahead and replaced the left front break line, bled the brakes and just finished the test drive with a dozen quick stops and no brake drag afterwards. The old brake line was pinched and was not relieving pressure on the caliper. So the brake drag problem was resolved with the replacement of the brake line. The anti-lock brake dash light lit up again after hitting 5 mph and set the 41 control valve code. Big Red, the blazer's nickname, is functioning just with out ABS.
Anyone with an Idea as to which control valve code 41 is referring to? Thanks

code 41 ELECTRICAL DISTURBANCE INLET VALVE (CIRCUIT - FRONT RIGHT)
Hope that helps, I really do not fool with ABS braking systems beyond the things and DIYer could safely do, and when it comes to stuff much beyond a wheel sensor, I suggest seeking a well certified mechanic.

abs problem clear for now
I've been driving for some time with a abs light on. I have a aldata cd and this great forum. I was told my problem was in the module. I cleaned up everything underneath really good and retrieved the abs code(s) about seven of them. I cleared the codes and now, two weeks later, they haven't come back.
