93 s10 does not start or idle
My buddy has a 1993 chevy s10. It will not start on its own, but if you prime it, then it will start. It also will not idle, so you must keep giving it gas to keep it running.
He replaced the ECU, and checked to make sure that it was getting gas to the carburettor when attempting to start, which it is. I think that he also said that it was getting voltage. Someone else said that it might be a crank sensor (whatever that means). Do any of you have any ideas?
Thanx

Sounds like the fuel pump doesn't put out enough pressure for it to start. If you prime it and it will start, the pump is the prime suspect.
A '93 doesn't have a carb. Does he have a TBI or a CPI? Has he checked the fuel pressure?

Recently, as in after he replaced them he started having problems recently. Or he replaced them and everything worked great for a while until this problem started?
Verify the fuel filter is face the right direction? there is a forward and backward on em.
My next thought is the IAC, it controls idle. Sensor on the TBI unit.
