I tried driving my truck today and and it takes forever to accelerate up to speed and i can barely get up past 40mph and it takes forever to get that speed. My oil pressure is low also. I changed my oil last month and when i pull the dipstick out i smell gas on it. Im getting ****ty gas millage also.
I also smell gas comming out of the exhaust pipe and a little black smoke comming out.
Could it be the Fuel Regulator or the transmission going. It also idials really hard. I did a tune up on it with a new plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc ...
If someone could help me out here that would be good. I just want it to accelerate again at normal. and jsut last me till the end of spring.
Thank You
Brian

if it were me i would take the upper plenum off and see whats leaking gas into the oil. the fuel pressure regulator is common to malfunction in that gen of blazer. Then move to the next step after that. make sure you change your oil bf you run it again so you don't wash out a bearing or spin one.(i know it sounds stupid but i've seen it happen to many times before).

do yourself a favor and pull the intake manifold tuning valve ( the round black thing on top of the intake) and look in there with a flash light. if you see small puddles in there on either side, then you have a fuel leak inside the intake. it could either be the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel nut kit inside the intake...they are both known to leak often....this check would only take 5 minutes to do....
also check to see if the EGR valve is stuck open or the port maybe clogged .....

we took apart the manifold and it was the egr valve that was clogged and the fuel regulator that had gone bad. We also changed the oil and filter. Also took out the spark plugs and regapped then and cleanned out where they sit to rebuild the pressure up in the engine. Its running good now and hope it will cause im short on cash..... total fix was about 70 bucks ... not to bad for a beater with a heater
