Unhappy Blazer bogs down while accelerating

Hello, I have a 1998 Blazer which bogs down when I accelerate. The Blazer will pick up speed if I let up on the accelerator and gently press the gas pedal down and baby it. I am not able to pass a vehicle on the highway because of not being able to accelerate when I need the power. The Blazer starts and idles great. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what my problem might be?

When was the last time a full tune up (plugs, wires, cap, & rotor) was done? How about a new air filter? Or a throttle body, EGR, and/or MAF sensor cleaning? A dirty MAF sensor can cause issues like this. As can a faulty MAP sensor or TPS sensor.

I'd check the fuel pump also. You might not have enough fuel pressure when your at full throttle.

Default Blazer bogs even after changing engine out.

Hello, I have the exact same problem only MAF did not fix it.
I had a running 1999 4x4 pickup that I swapped all the parts over (MAF, coil, wires, etc....) and the 4x4 still ran great and the Blazer still bogged.

Then I swapped the entire engine into the Blazer and it does the exact same thing. I have plenty of fuel pressure when it is boggin and I have changed the fuel filter.

What is left? THe ECM??? It is not throwing any codes???? Help?

i am having the same exact problem. although now my truck will barely even start. the mech said it might be a engine computer problem. Is the MAP sensor the same thing as a tps sensor. i have a 95. just looking for answers
