ok my blazer has been getting temperamental lately. sometimes the starter wouldnt engage but if you kept tryin it would turn over and fire up but as of earlier today you can turn the key and you cant even hear the solenoid click. . . it does absolutely nothing. im thinking its a bad starter. can someone verify this for me

 

It could be the starter or it could possibly be the ignition switch/wiring. If you get a test probe onto the smaller wire on the starter and watch the voltage/light when you turn the key to the 'start' position, you should see it light. If it doesn't, then it is not the starter, but something in the ignition switch and/or wiring.

 

It ended up being the starter i changed it out today and it turned right over and fired up as soon as I hit the key. but thank you for the input I appreciate it
