94 S10 blazer dogs down
I have a 94 s10 blazer vin w. Recently I have been having some issues with it not wanting to start and when it does start while driving it dogs down like its about to die. At a full stop when you go to take off it starts to sputter and jerk like it isnt getting any gas. I have replaced the spider(scrap yard special) and i checked out the MAP sensor which neither one seem to be the issue. Im hoping someone can help me out cause I cant figure this thing out. I have a new Fuel Pressure Regulator, havent replaced the other yet that is my next to do. again please someone help....

Also be sure you did a proper fuel pressure and leakdown test. Even a junk yard spider can be bad. You need to definitively find the problem before you can properly fix it. Also, as Rich said, check the fuel filter for restrictions.

Probably should have replaced the FPR before replacing the whole spider. The CPI spiders don't go out that often - it's usually the FPR or the fuel lines running to the CPI.
I'm guessing you should now change both the FPR and the fuel lines (nut kit). If you want to keep the truck running a long time, I suggest getting the OEM GM FPR because the Dorman part, while cheap, will go out pretty quickly in my experience.

alot of trucks end up junked because of the fuel regulator dumping gas into the oil and wipeing the crank bearings. As stated, the FPR and the nut kit (nylon lines to the injector) are usually to blame The injector itself is pretty reliable.
