RE: 94 s10 igniton-VATS problem.
Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try.
I took down the covers beneath the dash and found my aftermarket alarm there. Its a Seco-Larm enforcer 00. This have a ignition cutoff, so if I don't get it to reset by disconnecting the battery or by reprogramming it I have to try to bypass the circuit. (luckily I found a tech manual on the net from a guy in Russia, so I have the connection diagram for it.)
But of course it may not be the alarm at all, could be the switch, the clutch switch or the solenoid on the starter.[&o]
Time to play detective today. Morning not to far away here now.
Jostein

[sm=groupwave.gif]Happy Days!!!
Today I took apart my car alarm and found the error. On inspection it turns out there was a burnt of circuit on the backside of the print board. When I bridged this gap everything was working again, and the car started just like it should.
A BIG thank you to you all for your help and advice. Now I know allot more about my ignition system.
Cheers.
Jostein.

glad you got it fixed. If I were you, I would just remove that thing entirely. has already failed once, why risk it again?
