Default 94 steering column work in 93 blazer?

I have a 93 blazer and i cannot turn the key to the off position at all and the shifter shifts out of park and into all the other gears without me pushing on the break and the key falls right out so basically i need to replace my steering column and was wondering if a 94 blazer column would fit in mine. at the junk yard they told me that they are listed as different parts and dont know if it will fit for shure or not. Can anyone verify for me if it will work or not?

You just need to change the lock Cyl , not the column.

well the whole column is a bit beat up and would really like to replace the whole thing. I found a 94 blazer on craigslist for 200 bucks....the lady says it just wont start anymore and wants to get rid of it so i figure i got a new steering column and some glass and a set of factory rims(my truck is missing 2 of them ) and that alone is worth 200 bucks

If there are other parts you want then go for it. Pulling the column isn't very hard to do. Just be sure to disconnect the shift rod linkage in the engine bay first and the bolt holding it to the steering shaft. 4 10mm bolts I believe on the firewall and the 2 15mm to drop the column. Just be careful when disconnecting all the wiring.
