Default ABS issues

So I have been doing alot of different work on my 92 S10 Blazer. We did the body lift new shocks all around and the rear drum brakes and Wheel Cylinders. Well after starting up we noticed the ABS light is now staying on. I am curious if there is a way to reset the abs light and why it came on. We did not see any sensors or wires in the rear brakes at all. If any one could help I would appreciate it.

hmm..weird..Not sure if bleeding the brakes is required on the rear cylinders as i wont allow myself to touch drum brakes. Try bleeding them, not sure but maybe some air got in the lines and the abs detected it up front?

I apologize if im talking out my backside. Im not familiar with drums.

Have you tried pulling the ABS codes? You can get the codes by jumping two of the pins on the ALDL. It's not the same pins as getting the trouble codes. It's a different set of pins. Someone has probably posted the correct set of pins on here previously. Try searching for "ABS Codes" and see what you get.

Yeah Im gonna be running down to a friends shop to get the codes read today to see what all is going on. As for rear cylinder bleeding. It is required specially if you replace the cylinders. We have bled them several times. From what I been seeing though alot of people have issues with that Light. So Im wondering if it just is a matter of reseting the damn thing if not I will just go ahead and put some black tape on it and be done. Brakes work great so not to worried.

ABS codes can be accessed by jumping pins A & G. There's a procedure for doing this. I'll have to look at my manual. When do the codes show up (if any)? What ABS system do you have? There are different ones. Definately bleed the brakes. Actually they're a piece of cake. I use my hand held vacuum pump. If it's a 4WAL system you could have air in the high pressure accumulators and need a special tool (2 of them) to get it out. It could also be something as simple as a brake light switch (believe it or not). Lots of possibilities but they really aren't that mysterious. You just have to know what you have and understand the system.
