ABS light and squealing after driving for a bit
Okay my 93 blazer is about to kill me...In the past month i have spent about a grand on this blazer trying to get it fixed... Way the other day my brake pads was starting to get wore down...so me being the college student stressed for money i went and changed them myself. Welllll after that the ABS light came on and stayed on. Well at the time the light just was a hinderance for my eyes and i didnt really worry about it...Well then the squeak came....and oh man thats became a PITA...First i thought it might be a wheel bairing in the right front....Carried it to the shop and that was changed along with a idler arm. That didnt change a thing. So then i carried it back to the same shop and got the head mechanic to come out and listen and look at it...He changed the half used pads and the rotors....well i thought he must known what he was doing and must of been the rotors....WRONG...still a squeak...By this time i had spent about 300 and gotten no where...i decided i would do this on my own...so i took her home jacked her up and went to put her in 4x4 to see if it would squeal....Found out the front wheels wasnt going in 4x4...that turned out to be a vacuum line and switch issue....Thought that could cause the Squeak after a thread i read on here....WRONG....so now im stuck with a 4x4 blazer with a annoying squeak and a ABS light stuck on...And it stays on constantly.....Now more about the squeak....It usually happens after i have been driving her for about 10 miles....seems to me usually after i pull away from a stop sign but smashing the brakes down doesnt change it....and sometimes it just starts going down the road straight....seems to me like a certain rotation of the wheel it sweaks like a erp...erpp....erpp....Im about to pull my hair out with this one....iv searched and searched and no one seems to have the same problem as mine.....any ideas??
pull your codes on your ABS...A to H could send you in the right direction. Might be the speed sensor on the front wheel. Check too see if you didn't pinch or cut the wire going to it. The sensor might just need cleaning.
I had a similar squeak and it turned out to be the ball joints. Re-grease the joints, see if it goes away, if not, oil the shock mounts, upper and lower, oil everything you can see that could cause the noise, see if each application eliminates the noise. If not, I'd re-do the wheel brakes again and look for metal to metal wear.....

This is a video of the sqeak....does it sound like yours? I have also thought of the ball joints and figured the ABS light was unrelated to the squeak....

no, didn't sound like that...i could replicate the squeak by pushing on the finder....sounds like the plate the speed sensor is bolted too is rubbing on something...u can't jack the wheel up and turn it to see where the squeak is coming from?
