AC/Heater Controller???

AC/Heater Controller???
Recently replaced the digital dash in my 91 s-10 blazer and dealt with the heater control unit partial removal. a few months later, my AC just stopped working one day. I partially remove the Ac/heater control unit and a couple small spings fall out. Further digging reveals they came somewhere from the ac/heater controller. I removed that part and also found a third spring. I know those springs belong in that controller unit, but where?? I put them inside that controller and did get the AC to run if I get everything perfectly aligned in that controller, but it just keeps coming "loose" when I move the AC controller from the ****. Any insight into this controller unit would be appreciated.

That is definitely not supposed to happen. You need to locate a replacement HVAC control head since it is not supposed to be serviced. Someone would have to take theirs apart to show you where things go anyway...

Very good. I wasn't sure about the "servicability" of that controller. You have confirmed my suspicion. I must have disrupted it somehow during the digital dash replacement. I found a replacment controller unit in LMC catalog for around $25.00. Thanks for the advice.
