Default Advancing timing. Clockwise or counterclockwise?

I wont have my timing light until next week. Standing in front of the vehicle Do i turn clockwise or counter to advance it? Its currently set to 0 but im going to advance it just a littlebit to help with my "performance" mods (ie: exhaust/intake done). And yes i know about unplugging the timing advance from the computer while doing so.

THANKS GUYS

If i remember right.. turn it counterclockwise. This should set it to fire a bit early, therefore advancing.

Didn't know they made a pulley to bypass the AC compressor on the 4.3. My AC sadly doesn't work on my blazer.

Thumbs up

You can tell by listening as you turn the distributor with the car running is it raises rpm its advancing vice versa.

Whatever way the rotor turns you turn it the opposite way to advance it.
