Default axel nut size and torque-'93 4x4 S10 Blazer

I'm having to replace both upper & lower ball joints on both sides and trying to get all my ducks in a row before I attempt this. I did a pretty thuro search and found a lot of info for the 2nd gen but not the 1st..also found a 35mm & 36mm will work but.....I found the axel nut size for a '95 (36mm) but want to make sure I get the right socket for my '93...knowing my luck it's different.....I also need the torque setting for this nut if you would happen to know it.....any in's & out's, shortcuts, helpful info would be greatly appreciated...both sides are bolted in so it should make an eaiser job....(everytime i say that i spend 3 or 4 days longer on it..lol)

Autozone will "rent" you a axel nut socket set. It'll include sockets from size 30mm to 36mm. I have a 95 and the 36mm is the right size. I ended up buying my own 36mm socket for $15 at Autozone. All you have to do is pay the deposit and you get it back when you return the socket set. I think it was $49 when I first did it last year.

OK thanks...! i'll probably go that route to make sure I get the right size. Any idea of what the torque on that nut was? thanks again....

Do a search on here. It's been covered ad nauseum. I say that because I can't remember off the top of my head. I usually do the search on here for it.
