For some wierd reason every time i turn left and its bumpy the truck lets out some violent banging noises...as if something is smashing against the frame...or popping out. I can't explain what it is and hoped that someone else had this situation before. My mechanic just did my ball joints so they are fine, the tranny mounts have been retorqued along with the torsion bar crossmember. Please help!

it could be strut mounts. especially if it does it over bumps/bumpy roads! Even if your mechanic replaced the ball joints it still could be a ball joint issue! it could either be put in wrong or just a defective joint! I would def look into the strut mounts though!

I had a similar problem for 2 years, thought it was shocks, driveshafts, brake calibers etc. finally figured it out one day, It was the hood hinge on the passenger side. I installed some oversized washers on the pivot bolt and snuged 'em down.........Never another sound!!!

its your torsion bar insulator. Put your truck on a lift, or jack, and push up on the brace that supports your passenger side torsion bar. I had the same problem and took me a bit to figure it out. If you want tips on replacing it without taking the bar assembly apart, just contact me! ive just replaced mine like a month ago.
