There is a bit of misnomer with cold air intakes. In theory colder air is more dense and therefore has more Oxygen molecules per volume of air. The proplem with most cold air intakes is that they draw air from the inside of the engine compartment which is not colder than the outside air. The best intakes are ones that draw air from behind the grille and has very few restrictions on air movement. Most times the factory duct work and a less restrictive air filter will give you more bang for the buck.
