Yeah those old ABS units sure do make a s*** load of noise don't they!!! That is what I love about my 2000, it is soooo much quieter!!! Korey.

 

I cannot say my 95 makes allot of noise,but I can say it is a lousy brake feeling.
I've auto-crossed/raced full prepared sports cars,built turbo charged corvettes and have had many vehicles threw the years and I am not kidding when I say I am very disappointed with the braking on this truck.
Yes I could go with ebc pads and slotted rotors etc but I shouldn't have to.As purchased 1,500 miles ago it had all factory GM parts as it was a fleet serviced vehicle...It has a good pedal feel,stops nice and straight but it takes forever to stop and when the ABS kicks in forget it...It is easier to gas it then try and stop...
A friend of the family had the first year of the new style full sized Blazer and those ABS made a ton of noise.Sounded like a electric motor running when it kicked in...

 

The ABS on my '05 is more of a subdued humming/buzzing than anything else... the the occasional thunk when the tire happens to be skidding when it finds some traction
