My brakes are spongy as well, but I am not getting an ABS light. Will try bleeding the brakes this weekend to see if it helps.

Thank you, but I already know what's wrong. My EHCU modulation valve is bad. When the trouble came my way I figured that was the problem. I took it to the Chevy house and let them check it out. At 1st they said its the master cylinder, and I let them put a new one on. Just as I thought, that was not the problem. After further testing they said its the EHCU modulation valve, cost for the valve is a bit over $1000,00. I declined, they did not charge me for the new master cylinder nor the labor.
As I said earlier I bought a EHCU modulation valve off of a wrecked Blazer S10, it worked quite well for about 1 year, them it went down.
I did not have no trouble bleeding the air out when I put the used EHCU modulation valve on, of course it took me nearly half a day to accomplish the task of just bleeding my brakes. It just take patients.
I might add, my fix cost me nothing, and my brakes works great. The only reason I posted about is that it might just help to someone else while saving them lots of trouble, and money.
Edited to add, I never did have a dash light come on letting me know something was wrong with my brakes.
