Default Check Engine Light /93 S10 Blazer

Would anyone know what would cause the check engine light to come on only when it is idling. If you push the gas pedal a little 1 or 2 times while idling ,it will go out between 10 & 15 seconds then come back on.While you are driving it does not so much as flicker on. Would really appreciate the help.

Welcome to teh site.
Get the codes read. Even if the light goes off it will store the codes for a while.
Check with your favorite autoparts store, most read codes for free.
Post up what they tell you and we cna point you in the right direction.

I purchased a G.M Computer Code Reader and it put out code#12(diagnostic mode;no distributor signal to electronic control module;system pass) and code #35(Idle speed control or circuit failure or idle air control valve or circuit failure).Would these be difficult to locate and change.

code number 12 is not a part that needs to be replaced its more like a "system check" as i under stand. code 35 idle air control valve is a part under the plastic decal VORTEC. All you should need is a torque set to replace.I am not sure if it is something that can be cleaned, and reused.
