codes 12,32 & 35
can someone let me know what these codes really mean? would any of them cause a no start problem?

I'm going out on a limb and making the statement that you have a '93 4.3L Vin W CPI engine (orange vortec on a plastic cover on top of the engine) and not a Vin Z TBI motor (round air cleaner). Reason being, code 35 is not a valid code for a TBI motor.
12 just means that the codes completed normally.
32 - This means that when the PCM commanded the EGR valve to open/close, there was no change in the fuel mixture as sensed by the PCM.
35 - Idle Air Control (IAC) System - most likely a problem with the idle air control valve located in the throttle body.
So for code 32, I recommend that you remove and clean the EGR valve. If the EGR valve is stuck open and the IAC valve is not functioning properly, it could cause a no start. How was it idling before you started having this no-start issue?

yes you are correct, I have a CPI fuel system with the orange Vortec on the cover. I'll try and clean the EGR valve if I can get it off (haven't looked yet) do I just use carb cleaner?

Any regular carbon cleaner can be used so long as it specifically states sensor safe. This is more to keep the cleaning agent from damaging your O2 sensor as it exits the engine after you have cleaned the valve.
You may want to pull the throttle body and give it a thorough cleaning as well. Just make sure that you get a new gasket for both the throttle body and the EGR valve before you start the work!

Seems I may have sent you on a wild goose chase... I never really paid attention on the CPI motors, but it looks like the TB may not be removeable separate from the upper plenum...
Anyway, the IAC valve is located above where the intake ductwork connects to the throttle body. You will want to remove the IAC valve and clean out it's bore very well. Then remove the intake duct work and clean what you can through the throttle body.
With the EGR valve gasket, if you can, get one with the integrated screen. I know that you can get it at Napa, but don't know about other places.
