Do you have push button 4wd or a lever on the floor?
If you have a green grease on the front driver wheel, you likely blew a CV joint and need to replace that CV axle. The CV axle always turns regardless of transfer case mode.

there is a gear shifter in the botttem of floor that says 2wd 4 hi and 4 low with lights on itn and the 4 low and 2wd are both slightly lite up and there isn't anything green just alot of what looks like oil

If you have a manual lever on the floor, then the transfer case is not in both gears at the same time. The lights work off of the lever position. Something has to be wrong with the switches in the floor console that trigger the lights. I think you have two separate issues, one that is very problematic (the grease at the front wheel) and the other that is just an annoyance.

ok well i believe i solved where the oil/grease is comming from it seems i blew a oil cooler line ... though not sure what caused it and it leeked down onto everything i pulled the front wheel drive shaft this morning and drove to work that seems to have stopped the noise aka grinding and screeching also not sure what caused noise only that it stopped when shaft was removed
