OK I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't come up with anything in a search. I need to know if the diffs in the '85 will take G80s.
Thanks.
Thanks.

What size rear end do you have? I doubt a 8.5"
I'm guessng a 3.42 or 3.73:1 gears. Not reallysure Blazerman...
Your truck looks like it's in great shape!

My question is why do you want to use the G80 diff when there are many much stronger diffs out there...

Eaton is a good diff... When you get down to it, for a 7.5 ring gear they are all pretty weak but for a 6cyl blazer it should be fine if your looking for a locker, F-bodies (camaros and Firebirds) share the same carrier as S-10 blazers in the corperate 10 bolt rear, F-bodies had a 26 spline axle until 1989 and in 1990 they increased the spline count to 28, Im not 100% sure about Blazers but I believe it to be the same,Iwould imagine you have a 26 spline 3 series carrier which has either 3.42 or 3.73's on them (check your RPO code if you are uncertin) you can findused Gov-loc's and cone style Auburns all over Ebay for decent prices wich would both be sufficent for 6cly applications.
