Distributor install 94 s10 blazer 4.3L vortec cpi
I recently changed blocks on my 94 s10 blazer 4.3L vortec cpi. The replaced engine was tbi and everything has already been switched over. My problem is trying to install my distributor. When the engine is at TDC, where should the dampener notch be? 12 o' clock? 2 o' clock?
Let me try to rephrase my question. What is the proper procedure to install a distributor in a 94 s10 blazer 4.3L vortec cpi Vin# W? I changed blocks and the distributor is new. I have no painted position marks to go by. Please help!
You should be setting the #1 cylinder to TDC before installing the distributor. There should be a tab or line or something on the front cover for you to reference... You'll need to find that or find the true TDC for #1 and making a mark on the cover that lines up with the groove in the damper.
