Distributor Noise

Default Distributor Noise

I have a 1994 S10 Blazer vin W, there is a whining noise coming from the distributor. Is there any solutions for this

Yes, mine did the same thing... twice. Go to Auto Zone, for about $100 they will sell you a rebuilt dist. with a LIFETIME warranty. If you do not change it, it will leave you stranded like mine did the first time. Also check your coil, if it is weak, it will still run, but will cause strain on the module.

how long after the noise did it go out?

About 1.5 years. I kept putting it off, because when it first started, it would only do it when it was cold out. Then when it started getting worse, I ignored it. One day my old lady was comming home from the grocery store and it quit. She was not happy. About 2 years later when I heard the same sound, I replaced it right away. It did not cost me anything! Good luck.
