Fix for cold solders in the Wiper Motor

 

ok... i pulled the wiper motor off today.. and on mine, you can't take the cover off.. its rivited on.. is there anything else i can do.. cause i really dont want to have to buy a new motor if i don't have to...

 

Drill out the rivets and pull the cover off. Use bolts and nuts to reattatch.

i drilled out the rivits on the wiper moter... and there is no circuit board at all...

 

If you do not have the delay system I am not sure if there is a circuit board or not. The fault isolation I listed in a previous post had two different approaches. One with delay and one without.

 

so.. what do you think i should try now??

 

could the circuit board be located somewhere else?

 

base wiper system the following applies: With Ignition Switch On, Wiper Switch in Off position, remove connector from wiper terminal, connect jumper from terminal No. 2 and No. 3 and 12 volt source to terminal 4. if wiper parks replace column switch, If Wiper still runs repair wiper motor (Check Park Switch Actuator and Brush Holder Assy)
