Which drivetrain, steering, suspension parts from '00 Jimmy will fit '89 S-10 Blazer
New to the forum. Looking for any insight on this, as multiple searches didn't turn up much info.
I've been working on pretty much everything motorized for the last 20 years, so I'm no stranger to a wrench. I run a shop out of my barn mostly for motorcycles, dirt bikes, ATV's, and other small engined equipment up here in MA.
I have a '00 GMC Jimmy that I have been parting out, & need to know what parts I can farm off it for an '89 S-10 Blazer. Both are 4wd. Both have the 4.3.
Just by looking at the 2, I can see the brakes will not work, but it looks like the upper/lower control arms are the same.
What I would really like to know is if I can rig the '00 transfer case to work manually in the '89, & if the '00 hub bearings will bolt up to the '89.
Anyone who can offer any personal experience with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
