Is the orange serial data wire also called the ECMB which is also orange? Are they the same?

Saw an orange cable yesterday. Connector below left side of dashboard fixed to firewall. Connecting box #433478 to relais. But that is on a Saab 9-5 not what you are looking for I quess...

Welp, since this is the first gen section, and in their forum garage they have a 1989 s10 blazer sport, I would guess its for that

 

I happen to own the Service and Drivability an Diagnosis Manuals for the 1994 S10 4x4.

So I may be able to help. If it's 1993 it should be pretty much the same
