Ok so today, I go to replace my PCV. So I open the hood and pull off what I thought was the PCV on the Driver Side valve cover, but it turned out to be just a PCV imposter with a hose running to no where. The hose is running forward like it might go to the Airbox or the EEC cansiter. Can anyone tell me what this hose should be connected to? I did find the true PCV on the Passenger side valve cover and replaced it with no problem.
Ok next question, while I was tracing the above mystery hose. I noticed a VERY thin hard plastic hose that comes off the EEC cansiter badly melted from laying on the Valve cover. It comes from the EEC cansiter and goes up and into the big thick wire harness thats next to the Oil fill spout. Without opening up that secured harness I cant trace it any farther. Its not the one that goes to the Throttle body or the big one that looks like it goes back to the gas tank. What is this hose/tube for?
Would any of these problems be a cause to my trouble starting issue, that I have posted in another thread?
Sorry for it being long, just wanted to give as much info as possible. Thanks

This should answer your questions concerning the vacuum lines, etc:

Sweet, that helps perfectly. The one hose goes to the airfilter box and the other is the very small purge line to the back of the intake.
Now how to replace that purge line in that wiring harness? How important is it? Can that be a cuase to my starting issue? Please help.

It should have nothing to with your starting issue, what ever that was.
The truck should start with out any of the hoses attached, however you might have some idle issues and hear the leak.

alright I went to the pick a part yard today and picked up both hoses and some other pieces. I'm going to put them on later this evening after the truck and the weather has cooled off a bit. I'll keep you posted and see if she starts/drives better.
