New here {sorry if this isnt posted in the right place}.
Just bought a v6 94 s10 blazer, seems like it idles really hard and kinda hesitates to accelerate. Im not the best mechanic lets just say that. Is this some thing easy to replace or clean? Should I take it to a shop and have it done is it something anyone could do with basic tools?
Thanks for your time and opinons.

To tell if its the EGR look under the air intake for the EGR power connection. Unplug it and run the vehicle. The check Engine light will come on. If the EGR was staying engaged after the truck warmed up, it could cause the funny idle. Im having a similar problem with my 93. But mine is most likely a computer or distributer.
at night, run the truck with no light and see if can find any flashes of light coming from the distributer, if you do, something is wet or corroded and is arcing.

First thing i would do is go to a local parts place or a gas station and pick up a can of Sea Foam if you haven't already. Make sure you have at least a half tank of GOOD GAS (mobil, shell, bp, kwik trip) then pour the whole can of Sea Foam in and see if that clears out the problem. It should clean out your injectors too.
If its not that... Blazers are famous for bad fuel pumps. Look for the fuel filter too. see if there is any physical wear on it. You may not see anything at all, but the fuel filter would be the first thing I would change. Cheapest, and you can do it yourself. There are a couple "how to" threads on how exactly to do it.
