Default EGR Valve Problem

Hello everyone,
I have a 1994 GMC Jimmy. I just bought it a couple months ago but haven't really driven it until recently. The check engine light came on so I checked the code and it was for the EGR Valve. I read that it may run rough, which it does at idle. I also read that if there is not enough backpressure it will not work properly. There is a fairly large exhaust leak, but it is near the back behind the muffler, so I wasn't sure that could be the problem. I took it out and the slider thing on the valve doesn't move freely, but then again I don't know how it is supposed to move. But I ran the engine and unplugged the wires and it ran the same. Is it definetly the valve itself? I tried cleaning it out with wd40 to no avail. Can I get one from a junkyard? Anything else to try?

You could get one at a junkyard.
It definately sounds like you need a new one.
