Default exhaust size

What is the size of the exhaust on a first gen (specifically a 1993 GMC jimmy)
Inner and outer diameter.
I am getting conflicting answers everywhere I look.

Best method i found was to go out and measure it myself, the reason you get conflicting answers is because people measure it in different spots or cant remember lol. But on my friends first gen it was 2 1/4 from the muffler to tail pipe and 2 1/2 from cat to muffler.

If you are looking for a muffler to give the exhaust shop to put on your truck, it wont matter what size you give them as long as the muffler pipe is the same size or smaller. The pipe going in and out of the aftermarket mufflers turn into a cone where it attaches to the muffler so it gets quite a bit wider which allows the shop to make the OD of the muffler up to about 3"

No shop will even look at it, once they find out it doesn't have a cat.
and all I want to do is replace a piece between the muffler and Y pipe that has broke.
