Exclamation Fuel Injection Problem

I have recently been having a problem with my 86 Blazer. At first it started loading up when under heavy acceleration and it threw up a check engine light. The code was a 22 code which is a Throttle position sensor faulty so i checked everything out and replaced the sensor and the check engine light is gone but it is still loading up under heavy acceleration. Im just on a tight budget right now and i dont have the money to take it to a shop to get it looked at.

If this helps any two things happened. i saw arcing on my ignition coil and i took care of that and it still loads up. i let it cool down and took it for a ride and it ran smooth but once it warmed up it started loading up again.

Exactly what do you mean by 'loading up'?

when im saying by loading up its like a lack of power and the timing seems to be off or something. when im going from a stop its stuttering. with the arcing coil the terminal that goes from the coil to the distributor was corroded so i took a wire brush and cleaned it off and put everything back together and no more arcing.

Catalytic converter plugged up, maybe? If you rap it with a mallet, does it rattle?

If a cat fails, it starts coming apart inside and all the little pieces break and come loose, some falling to the bottom, some migrating to the muffler to start jamming it up. I you don't hear anything rattle, it's most likely not the cat.

do you think it could be the ignition coil? im just wondering why it would do it while it is warmed up?

Possible. It wouldn't hurt to take it to AutoZone and have it tested. When's the last time the basic tune-up items were done?

cap rotor and plugs were changed out about 2,000 miles ago. but its been like two years. she doesnt get driven much since i went and got a honda civic and gas prices are up. but i might want to look into acdelco cap and rotor. i bought some stuff made by accel off of summit racing and taylor spark plugs. the only thing acdelco i have are the spark plugs.

i have one quick question. as i have noted before my coil was arching could that possibly fry it out somewhat? i have read through a couple of threads and people have said that under heat coils could start to fault out. from what i know this coil it the original. so its about 23 years old. i know once i put in an amp in my blazer it fried out the alternator i was just thinking it could do the same thing on just a different level.
