Fuel Line
#2
Get the tank as empty as possible to reduce the amount of gas you lose
Get a bit more line than you need
Get lots of rags handy
Work in a well ventilated area
And the obligatory don't smoke
This would also get to be a very good opportunity to replace your fuel filter, as well as check the fuel pressure at the pump. I don't know about you, but I'd hate to have the entire thing torn apart, replaced, and then find out later you have a torched pump.
I'm assuming you're replacing them with steel braided line?

Ive heard some good things about it. Never used it personally. Hopefully some of the other members can shed some light on it. Maybe look up some youtube videos and reviews of steel braid line. I am almost certain that is what they use on high performance cars, like the kind you would see at the strip.
What is the reason for changing your fuel lines? Do they leak?

Leak is an understatement. I got into an accident a couple months ago because of a blown break line. I was eight months pregnant at the time so instead of fooling with it, I took it to get fixed. The next day gas was spraying out of the line just before the back tire. So it's just been one thing after the next, and with a new baby in the remix, I just don't know where to start. I appreciate the advice.

when i built my toy PO had used standard fuel hose zip tied to the old frame - when i built i used standard fuel hose on return and vent - high pressure side i used 3/8 steel line tied to the frame with fuel ing. hose for attaching the ends

I think I have a plan now. I can just use standard line and I don't have to replace the entire line. Since the break line is brand new I don't have to worry about screwing that up. The tank is empty and it is sitting outside with a flat. Guess it's time to get dirty!
