I have a 1992 S-10 4.3L vortec. It will start easily and hold steady idle, but as soon as I hit the gas pedal, it dies and won't start again until I pour gas down the throttle body, then will fire right up, burn the gas off and die....after about 3 times doing this procedure and holding the accellerator down slightly it will again hold a steady idle ..... until I hit the gas again.

Recently I've replaced plus, wires, rotor, cap, thermostat, fuel pump, fuel+air filter, cat converter and muffler, and ran sea foam through it.

It's been doing this for quite some time now. sometimes after I let it sit for a couple days, it will fire up and run good and I can drive to work for a couple days, then problem comes back again.
Any suggestions!!?? I sure need to get back to my job!

after the fule pump replacement did you check your fule presure maybe a faulty pump or maybe water in the tank just some suggestions. good luck
