Default Fuel Pump

so, im in the process of buying a 1993 s10 blazer. the guy is telling me that the fuel pump is bad but he says it still runs. just gets real doggie when it warms up. supposedly his mechanic told him the pump is getting warm and not working at full power. now, ive had tons of 1st gen s10's and never heard of this problem. usually when the pump goes, it goes. no half *** working... any thoughts? thanx

I'd be more likely to suspect the CPI unit, fuel lines under the intake manifold, or fuel pressure regulator, but it's worth taking the time to diagnose it properly. Common issues on the CPI trucks. If you search around you'll find a lot about it

*Moving to 1st Gen Tech* - Maybe you would have gotten more responses in the short time you waited if you had posted in the proper section.
