Default Fuel Pump Relay

Hello all. New here.

I have a 1990 S10 Blazer with the 4.3. It was running fine, then sat for a week, and will turn over but not start. Checked spark - OK. Tried fuel down carb, no joy. I suspect (and actually hope for) the relay. I wanted to jusr replace it, but I can't figure out how to disconnect it from the harness plug! Duhhh.....
There is a sort of latch on the side, but it will not release the darned thing.

Any help?

Thanks,

Bob

If it didn't start when you added fuel, the problem is not fuel related. Better check for a good, hot, blue, not orange, spark at each spark plug.

Hmmm. I just had the distributer cap/rotor and wires replaced, and it was running fine. Maybe I got a bad cap? Didn't think of that - I've got them before. Thanks!

Check for spark at the coil, at the coil wire where it connects to the distributor, and at each spark plug. Gotta be a blue spark, and it needs to jump a half inch gap to ground.

I've never actually done that, but I'll try it. Thanks.
