fuel spider asemble
Why are you changing your spider assembly? Did you pull the top plenum off and actually see gas all over the place. If you do take it off, it is normal for the right side to be all carboned up and the left side to be clean. Don't know why but every picture I have seen when the top is removed are always that way, including my own 95 but I didn't change it and it turned out to be a broken wire at the plug to the regulator. Two other times when I was told it was my spider assembly, it was either plugs, wires, cap or rotor related. I currently have over 340K miles on the same spider injector assembly. It's a last resort when all else has been eliminated. It is too exspensive to guess at. Right? A shop will charge anywhere from $600-$1000 to change, the part alone is over $400 from the dealer. Ouch!
Averaging $230.00 on Ebay for NewGM Delcooriginals. I have seen aftermarket ones for sale, but I wouldn't chance it myself.

I did this replacement about a year ago. It's not that hard, so don't be intimidated. I ended up getting mine from Lindertech. You can also get them at most parts stores. I believe that I paid around $300 after it was all said and done. The unit was around $250 or so, but I need to buy a replacement gasket for the manifold, a screen for the EGR, and there were some shipping charges.
I didn't mean that I wouldn't chance changing it myself if it were leaking. I meant for the same money, I would always go with the OEM Delco spider injector as opposed to the aftermarket. I certainly would never buy a used one from a junkyard. Too much work to find out it was also a bad one. They look very fragile and once removed could not go back on without cracking the plasticfuel deliverytubes.
