Default Heater core location??

Hey guys.. I have an 83 s10 blazer that someone has put an 89 tbi 4.3 in. well my hearter core has sprung a leak and i got no heat. heres the weird thing. i always thought the heater core was behind the dash, but it leaks from in front of the firewall. strange. so where is it on this year? also my blower motor keeps popping fuses. as with my last post, i will give directions to the best 4 wheeling property in this state to the person with the best answer. come on guys. im talking about a huge mountain with like 40 or so trails. everything from easy to insane.

what side is it leaking on? You coulda just blown a heater core hose that comes out of the firewall. Heater core is on the pass side behind the dash.
But who knows if someone else did a motor swap, they coulda moved it(could be why you have no heat.)
On the blowing fuse prob you probably have a short some where in the circuit

Like the others said passenger side behind the dash for the heater core and for the blown fuses its time to trace some wiring and figure out which is grounding out to make the fuse pop!!!

I drive a 93and mine went out right before winter started. Three places gave me estimates just shy of $400. I didn't have the cash to spare, so I replaced it myself last weekend. I got my heater core from O'Reilly for $26. Replacing one isn't so bad.
