Default heater core removal

1 have a 1992 chevy s10 blazer 4 door 4x4 v6 of course. heater core is leaking.i know its bad but is there a thread with pics or anything on how to remove and reinstall it. also electric windows i think are going out they will barely go down. if move much for that matter. plus any advice on a 212,000 mile motor. whats the best oil i can get for it to ensure it will keep going. im not mechanically enclined at all. i gues you all can tell, but since i own a blazer now and its worth it i want to do all my own work or at least try. thanks a million. here is my email in case anyone needs it.

For the heater core..

As for the windows its a pretty simple job, sounds like you need new motors, and for your motor use high mileage or synthetic oil.

Note of Caution: You need to remove the flexible heater hose from the top of the heater box before trying to remove the box. Best way to remove is to remove the radio trim and at least remove the radio mounting bolts and slide the radio over so you can reach behind and get at the hose on top of the heater control box all it takes is a little twist and pull to remove the hose.

The hard part is getting the new heater core in place without damageing the solder joints. You have to angle and twist the heater core tubes through the firewall and to get the heater core in the correct positon.

I have done mine 3 times since 1989 and the first time I damaged the heater core box by not removing the heater hose from the top of the box. First hand knowledge.
