Default heater motor moans and squeals

i have a squealing and rattling from what appears to be the heater motor. this a symptom of larger issue, like heater core? or could it lead to a heater core issue?

What year Jimmy is it on?It has to be taken out so you can tell if the case made in such a way the bearings can get grease on them. The old blower motors you could take apart the housing after removing the squirrel cage.Somebody can chime in if they know more about the newer ones.It could be the bearing is shot and plastic cage is rubbing on something.

yeah i would. at work we have this beater pick up with just use for hauling scrap and they are to cheap to buy a new motor for it, so we took it out, drilled a small hole on the very top of the motor on kind of a angle and just put a few drops of oil into it and that fixed it.

but when it comes to doing all that and its out of the truck you might as well replace it
