Question Help

OK I have a 1989 Chevy blazer 4.3L 4x4 I have recently bought. I've been having some fuel related issues I believe. It seems to be flooding itself out almost while running at idle after I drive it for a bit. Also gets horrible MPG. I originally thought it was a misfire so did plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. This didn't fase it so I changed distributer and compression tested all cylinders and used a bore scope to check for any damage to bore hole or piston head. Any ideas what else it could be. Only thing I can think is injectors or the TB itself. MIL comes on intermittently but even when its on I show no Dtcs.

Could also be the fuel regulator. If it is stuck you could be seeing some high pressures in the injectors, leading to rich mixtures and crappy mileage.

You are certainly correct about the other possibilities as well, could easily be something like a leaking injector/nut-kit. I would rent/borrow a fuel pressure test-kit and do a leak-down test. Then go from there.

I have a FP set just haven't got around to checking any of it yet lol. Injectors are 100 bucks a piece and that's with a 43% discount lol all the other things it could be are less than 20 bucks. I finally got some flash codes out of it. A 22 and a 43. Any idea there.

You can see the spray pattern at idle from the tbi injectors. It should look hazy like the road on a hot day does. If you see drips instead, the injectors junk.
