Do you get spark out of the coil when testing directly from the coil?

If it is getting spark from the coil, then the problem lies in the distributor. Are you sure that the timing is set properly?

So which is it...? Is it getting spark from the coil or not? If not, then your problem exists before the distributor.

NO spark from the new coil.my second guess would be the distributor module unless the coil needs to be grounded(lost the bolts to bolt it back on the bracket)

It sounds like your ESC (electronic spark control) module isn't working properly.
