Default HELP removing transfer case.

Hi, i need some advice for removing the transfer case on a 1993 s10 blazer 4x4 CPI. i need to install a front input seal on the transfer case, cause the transmission is leaking atf into the transfer case and overfilling it. then messing up the encoder motor to shift it into 4x4. i have to pop the fill plug once a month on the transfercase in order for it to not over fill. i need some one to guide me through the process to remove the transfer case and put the new seal in. and any other things i should know. if you could, please take pictures showing me what to do. or make a short video and post it on youtube. but if not thats fine.

thanks in advance.

I do not have any pictures or videos for you, but I have done it a few times on blazer's and a few other vehicles...

It is pretty straight forward. You will want a jack handy. Try to make up a cradle for the transfer case ahead of time as it will save you from dropping the darn thing. Start by disconnecting all electrical, vacuum, and vent lines from the transfer case. Drain the fluid out to reduce the weight. Remove the front and rear driveshafts.

I cannot remember how the transmission mount goes in these trucks (blur...), but you may have to support the transmission on a jack or jack stand if you so choose while you remove the cross member and mount. Then support the transfer case on the jack (with cradle) and strap it down. Remove the bolts that mount the TC to the trans and push/pry it back.

do i have to remove the cross member and mount. cant i just take everyting off the t-case and move it back off the tranny then down and out. and will it leak tranny fluid all over the place or what. is there anything else holding the t-case up other than the 5 or 6 bolts that are holding it on the tranny? thanks for your help.
