Hesitaion issue when gas applied...
Hey guys,
I have a customers 94 4.3l here and we're stumpped!
When the gas is applied the vehicle boggs out and loses power.
So far the fuel pump, filter, egr, plugs/wires, dist., AIC valve, TPS, injectors, and cat have all been replaced. We have tried carbon cleaner, fuel system cleaner and have just run out of ideas. A service writer at Chevy told me we did everything they would have done and had no answer for me.
Has anyone out there run into this problem? How did you solve it? Thanks in advance.
Ian

mass air flow sensor if it has one needs cleaned or replaced. That would be my first guess.

The CPI motor does not have a MAF sensor. However, have you monitored the MAP sensor? Have you verified that the timing is correct?

My 97 4.3 did this as well, mainly when it had a load on it. i.e. climbing a hill...accelerating quickly. I don't know if yours has a knock sensor, but replacing mine seemed to eliminate the problem. At least until it rained. Now my mechanic suggests perhaps a cracked ignition wire getting wet.

Hi all,
I actually have kind of same problem but it just came up a few days ago. Basically this does not happen if car is cold, I mean, it runs normally the first few miles in the morning when I am going to work, then when car is warm this happens: if car is stopped (stop signal, traffic lights, etc) it has like a blinking ( just imagine when you have bad sparkplug or cables)but my sparkplugs and cables are new! then when I am going the car loses power and feels like blinking and not running normally (even worst if it is a hill), now I think this start happening after I drove for very tilted hills and then I got "check engine" light on. Now, feels like bad fuel pump or fuel filter BUT can't be, the reason is that my car has a LPG gas system, and this happens in both regular fuel and LPG.
What can it be??
PD: I have a Blazer 98 LS

For you guys who still have a hessitation issue, I would do a back pressure test on your exhaust. My 2000 Blazer a similar issue, so like a dummy I started throwing parts at it. It ended up being a plugged cat. I know this won't apply to Suspension Plus but it might help someonelse.
