High pressure FI fuel pump in '85 tank
I am using a gas tank and pump hanger / sending unit in a project hot rod. The engine is GM TPI not TBI 305 and I will be using a 60 psi in-tank pump.
The sending unit is replacemnt for OE 2.5L L4 2.5L/L4/151/(E)/With Fuel Injection/TBI, 20 Gallon Steel Tank
The pressure line will be Aeroquip or steel from the tank to the TPI fuel rail with a return back through the hanger.
Anyone see any problems as the pump is a simple swap into the stock sending unit hanger.

Nope, not at all. The TPI likes high pressur, which your pump puts out.
Just know that the pump puts out more than 60psi, except its regulated in our trucks.
I think you should add a manual fuel pressure regulator under the hood on the inlet line for fine tuning.
