Searched the archives, but nothing specific regarding manufacturer and/or part number for a hood release cable for a 1992 Blazer. I'm also very confused with the differences in models (K5, S-10, etc.) Any help would be greatly appreciated since the cable in the 92 I just bought is stretched to the point I have to do a "Fonzi" on the hood........

The difference in models, k5 is the full size version, s10 is the mid size version.

Are some K5 and S-10 parts interchangeable such as the hood release cable?

 

I wouldn`t think so.GM wouldn`t make it that easy for us.

According to Nalley GMC Parts catalog, the original PN is 15981137 which shows as being available from their parts department for $38.76. That part number is available with free prime shipping from Amazon.com for $41.96.
