1991 Blazer tahoe lt 4.3L Vacuum AC control

I have a new control and need to install. I need assistance finding out just how much of my dash I need to remove and any "tricks" or screw locations anyone would care to give. So far I have it hanging out bur not far enough to remove the connections or lines. I have removed the heater cable and thats all.

I haven't removed mine, but I've only moved it to remove the gauge cluster. There is not very much slack in them at all. From what I've read it might be best to follow the end where the lines connect in the dash, and disconnect it there.
