Default ideling and starting issues

ok well this is an on going problem i have had, when the truck runs for a while and im sitting in traffic or at a long light it will start to idel like ****, until i start driving than it smooths out. along with that problem its been struggling to start, it will turn over a longer than normal eventually it will start. the plugs and wires have recently been changed, and maybe a year ago the whole fuel system was replaced, tank, pump lines injector. At this point im thinking it has to be fuel
any suggestions ?
thanks
Eric

Front of the motor, below the throttle body (where the intake hose attaches). Looks kinda like a soda can.

You'll need at least 9" of extensions and a 10 mm socket (and stick a little piece of paper towel in it so the bolt sticks better) - for the driver's side bolt. For the passenger-side bolt, you'll need a 10 mm wrench; a ratcheting wrench makes it easier.

You'll also need a replacement gasket. Get the one from the HELP! section - it's screened.
