Hey there! so my problem is i am trying to get my a/c running and each time i turn it on the idle does not kick up to let the a/c compressor run. So i end up stalling and having to turn off the a/c. any ideas as to where the idel advance is so i can take a look at it?

What engine do you have? In 86 the idle speeds are supposed to be controlled by the ECM and not adjustable. You should be getting a code.
